About Me : I'm Victoria Gloria, the creator of "My Motherhood Storybook". I'm a self trained photographer, designer and writer and I combine my talents to create a unique product exclusively for mothers. I grew up in a small town in rural Connecticut helping my mother run her child care business. I have a profound love for motherhood and I can't wait to be a mother. I travel throughout the year to document mother's stories and I love it! I love traveling to new cities, meeting interesting people and visiting trendy coffee shops.
What are your skills?: Operations, Photography, Writing
Interested in: Business, Collaboration, Sponsorship, Friendship
Other interests: Experimenting in the kitchen and cooking good food, interior design, making flower arrangements, a good cup coffee, family time, connecting and a good ole Netflix binge.
Why do you want to be a part of heymama?: I'd like to join Heymama to meet talented mothers and learn from them. I hope to share my story, introduce my product and find women who share my passion, love what i'm doing and become brand ambassadors.
What are your brand goals for this year?: Photographing families has been a passion of mine for the last 5 years. Early 2015 I created and designed a unique product for mothers called "My Motherhood Storybook". It was reasonably priced, and my goal was to get the book in as many hands as possible. I constantly refined both how I created the book and the experience for my client. Recently, this year, I completely redesigned the experience. I changed it from an electronic experience to tactile one where mothers interact with me and the book making process through physical items I send them in the mail. My goal this year is to get the new version of the product in as many hands as possible.
Words you live by/quotes you love: Growing up, no matter the circumstance my mother would say, "Everything happens for a reason." If it was something bad, we would have a pow-wow and talk about the good reasons why something so awful could have happened. There is so much comfort in those words for me and if you really think about it, everything does happen for a reason!
Best advice you’ve ever been given?: Be confident.
