Lives In: Brooklyn, NY
About Me: Mama to Emma (4), Lukas (1), and married to one incredible Swede. This is my adventure. 10 years ago, we dropped everything and decided to move to Sweden. I fell in love with it and quickly learned to speak the language. We pursued our background in filmmaking by producing music videos for some very awesome Swedish bands. After returning back to the states and with a shift in the music industry, we followed our passion for art and opened up an art gallery with a small retail shop. We sold young contemporary art and carried a selection of beautiful design objects that we had discovered during our travels. Together, with my husband, I ran and operated the gallery for five years until our daughter turned 2. She inspired us, she made us laugh like no other, and we wanted to spend more time with her. We made the big decision to close the gallery and pursue other interests that would allow us the freedom to work from home. We began making fun educational games for little ones that could be played on iPhone and iPads. A little over a year ago before my son was born, I got the itch to start sewing. I started making my own fabric using my husband’s graphic designs and sewing leggings for my daughter. Out of my love of art and good design and the profound need to create, Natti Natti was born. We just launched our small line of organic bedding and décor, and I couldn’t be more excited. Everything is printed and made in Brooklyn. In Swedish, Natti Natti means, Nighty night. The adventure continues…
