Lives in: New York
About Me: I am a former marketing and lifestyle maven who left my job in publishing to focus on my biggest project yet: raising twins in Manhattan. I'm a Canadian via California girl that has perfected the art of wandering and l love to discover beauty, fashion, travel and design (for adults and kids alike). My family splits our time between New York City and Palm Springs, CA where we go to hike, lounge and recharge in the beautiful California sunshine.

Mama likes: I really do love to wander and spend time running errands, discovering new cafes and finding great discoveries for my family and friends. I think I missed my calling as a personal assistant, running errands is my jam. If I'm not wandering new neighborhoods in New York, I love to travel to The Harlow House, our vacation home in Palm Springs and travel to other parts of the world as much as our schedule allows.
Why do you want to be a part of heymama? Since meeting the founders and members of heymama, I've finally felt like I found my tribe. Never in my life have I been so inspired to create, support and giggle over the things as mundane as school drop off to awe inspiring tales of launching your own business. I've been a party of groups in the past but heymama has hit the mark on curating a community of like-minded mamas that are ready to take on the world.
What are your brand goals for this year? I've been thinking about my own site, ToastnCandy for years now, but have always had something else to focus on. I've been asked one too many times why I don't have my own site and I think it's time to stop saying, "I don't know!". I'm also obsessed with the desert and our home in Palm Springs and my goal is to lure as many friends out west with me and frolic in sun at The Harlow House.
Words you live by/quotes you love: Growing up, my Dad always said, "Do what you love, love what you do." and I think it's the one thing that I've taken to heart and used as my motto. I've always followed my heart when it comes to career (and life!) goals and I think it's shaped me into who I am today.
Best advice you’ve ever been given? It may have been my own advice but after moving to New York and not knowing many people I decided to embark on a "year of yes". No matter the opportunity or invitation that came my way, I said yes. Even when I was exhausted from middle of the night wake ups with my twins, I went out and experienced new things. I ended up meeting the most incredible people and discovering likes (and dislikes!) about myself that I didn't know I had. New York is filled with creative people that are willing to share their experiences and I was inspired to keep putting myself out there, although now I'm ok with choosing a night in with my sweet family and snuggling in our jammies.
