Lives In: Brooklyn, New York
About Me: I moved to Montréal, Canada from Beirut with my parents when I was 3 years old to escape the war in Lebanon. I spent my childhood in Montréal, my teenage years in Beirut, Lebanon, and studied art in Paris in my early twenties. I moved back to Montréal for a few years to graduate from Intermedia and Cyber Arts and started a career in Interaction Design that landed me a job in New York. Since then, I have worked with brands like A&E Networks, Thomson Reuters, Creative Commons, among other clients before starting my own consultancy and launching Slow Factory™ in 2012.
Hire Me For/I'm Good At: I am a Designer of many trades: graphic design, branding, interaction design, and user experience design. These are all the subjects I have taught at General Assembly since 2013. You should hire me because I can come up with meaningful ideas, strategies to reach your audience, and make your products useful and sustainable.
Interested In: I am interested in partnerships with NGOs working on human rights and environmental initiatives.
Mama Likes: I love cooking, drawing, and playing with my kid. I also like making up imaginary worlds by making play doh/clay characters and bringing them to life. I also love dancing and organizing events.
Mama Inspiration: I am very inspired by the world we live in, humans, civilizations, cultures, travels, music, different types of food, rituals, and spiritual practices. I am inspired by the pure energy of being a human being on Earth.
Brands that most reflect your style or that you’d want to work with: I’d love to work with I Am Other, Pharrell Williams’ brand. I’d love to work directly with Ana Wintour on either Vogue or whatever they create on style.com. I’d love to work with NPR and host a radio show. I’d love to work with the UN. I have many dreams.
