About Me : I am a thirtysomething wife, mom and fashion enthusiast. I have my own personal styling business called ThirtySomethingFashion and just recently launched a t-shirt line called ThirtySomethingTees.
What are your skills?: Influencer, Events, Personal Styling
What is your education?: I have a Broadcast Communication degree from Elon University in North Carolina. Although no formal training in fashion, I worked retail/fashion for over 15 years. I like to think of it as "the fashion school of life".
Interested in: Business, Collaboration, Sponsorship, Mentorship, Mentoring, Friendship
Other interests: *Being with my amazing family.
*Dance ( I was an NFL Cheerleader for two teams throughout my 20's)
*Going to the beach (we live at the Jersey Shore)
Why do you want to be a part of heymama?: I am looking for a group of dynamic self starters to connect with who ALSO understand that "momming" is our most important gig. I have watched/followed along and read a lot of your features and I have seen amazing women highlighted as well as some familiar faces...I feel like it is exactly the kind of community I am searching for.
What are your brand goals for this year?: I recently launched a "perfect" t-shirt collection. As a working personal stylist I saw a need for a high quality, made in America classic tee that was ALWAYS available for order in the same quality, cut and design. I also am passionate about giving back to community, so I decided to donate a dollar from every tee to my local Childrens Hospital. The first two months (it launched in September) have been amazing sales wise BUT I know it continue to grow/succeed I need to reach outside my clientele and "zone". I hope this kind community can bring the organic, real connections needed to grow and I hope I can do the same to help other amazing businesses.
Words you live by/quotes you love: Wherever you are...be all there!
Best advice you’ve ever been given?: Believe in yourself.
So simple, right?
When I decided to launch this business, and now this t-shirt line, my family told me time and time again (in weak moments when I thought I just couldn't do it) to believe in myself. If I couldn't, then how could they? Simple sound advice. So I believe!
