Name: Ashley Gartland
Lives In: Portland, OR
About Me: I’ve been an entrepreneur since I graduated from college. I’ve been a writer, an event planner, a recipe developer, a stylist, a copywriter and an editor but the title that I’ve carried through every role is that of creative entrepreneur. Today, I am a coach and mentor for creative women entrepreneurs. Focusing on both business strategy and mindset (because you can’t have success without addressing both), I support emerging and established creatives to help them grow their businesses in a way that serves their goals, their vision and their lifestyle.
Hire Me For/I'm Good At: As a coach and mentor, I’m passionate about providing one-on-one support and developing business and visibility strategies for entrepreneurs. Thanks to my writing background, I’m also great at helping creatives refine their message and brand voice as well as figure out what to say and how to say it everywhere from their web site content to their social media.
Interested In: Collaboration, Coffee Dates (virtual ones too!), Community Building, Mentorship, Mentoring, Friendships
Mama Likes: I need a long run, a bottle of kombucha and at least one belly laugh with my daughters to feel like my day is complete. I hoard paper-goods and still send snail mail. I believe you can’t ever have too many dresses and live to host casual dinner parties for friends. And, even though I’m a big reader, I also have a soft spot for what my husband calls “prime time soap operas.”
Words you live by/quotes you love: Simplicity is one of my core values so my mantra this year has been “What’s easy? What’s simple? What’s good?” When I find myself stuck in indecision or paralyzed by overwhelm, these questions bring me the clarity and direction I’m seeking.
Best advice you’ve ever been given: Just start.
What is your biggest goal for this year? I have many goals for my business this year (who doesn’t?!) but they all fall under one umbrella. My goal is to give generously to creative women entrepreneurs so they can see that with the right support their dreams and goals are well within their reach.
Where can we find you?
